Employee Spotlight: Vince Byrne
My name is Vince Byrne and I am a transducer repair technician. I will have been here for two years in October.
What do you like most about Acertara?
I like the fact that Acertara is a family owned and started right here in Longmont. We also have a great group of people that works here.
If you could switch roles with anyone else at Acertara, whose role would you want? Why?
It would be interesting to see what an Acertara sales professional’s day is like. I have a small background in sales so it would be cool to see what its like in a different industry. I used to sell cars… Gross I know.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
Outside of work I like to spend time in the mountains, spend time with my family, and I play hockey on Sundays.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
Definitely my family- they are the ones who keep me going every day. Also coffee.
What is your favorite movie and/or book?
An HBO miniseries called The Pacific. Created by the same group that produced the series Band of Brothers, it tells the story of the United States Marines in the Pacific theatre in WWII. One of the characters is Marine icon John Basilone- it is cool to see his story told. Every Marine should know who he is!
