Acoustic Output Measurement Process for Diagnostic Ultrasound Systems

“In this video, James Gessert, BSc Physics, BSEE and Nicholas Ellens, PhD, discuss the measurement process and issues associated with determining the acoustic parameters (MI/TI) displayed on diagnostic ultrasonic systems that follow the “Output Display Standard;” address important issues that may be encountered during the measurement process; explain key equipment requirements associated with the measurement process; and discuss the measurement reporting differences between the US FDA and an IEC notified body requirements.”
