Acertara provides unique contract engineering services focused on the basic science and development of ultrasound medical imaging systems, probes and related devices.
Our research and development team has been involved in the creation and commercialization of more than 20 technologically intensive ultrasound systems, a number of various types of probes including the first probe with an integrated gyroscopic accelerometer, intraluminal ultrasound tipped catheters (IVUS), and the first after-market electronic array probe to receive FDA 510(k) clearance.
Our team has also been at the forefront of ultrasound device engineering, designing and creating novel disruptive technologies and products such as the ATLAS probe testing device which is used in many OEM probe manufacturing facilities on a worldwide basis, ultrasound regulatory bodies, probe repair facilities, and in ultrasound research centers.
We have worked with OEMs to develop ultrasound imaging prototype applications and specific probes, and we are a precision low-volume manufacturer of those probes and systems for the OEM. Our engineering team has co-authored more than 40 United States patents related to ultrasound device engineering.
Acertara operates in an ISO13485:2016 certified environment and is accredited to ISO/IEC17025:2017. Acertara is a member of AdvaMed Imaging, chairing the Ultrasound Section and Service Committee. Acertara is also a member of various AIUM committees and International Working Groups (AG).
Our design team has significant expertise with Doppler imaging design, bubble detectors, ophthalmic ultrasound systems, and therapeutic prototype systems.
