Tell us a little about yourself and your role at Acertara?
My name is Shonte. I am a Colorado native. I work as an inspection tech at Acertara. My job requires evaluating ultrasound probes by visually inspecting them and utilizing diagnostic tools to pinpoint defects.
If you could pick one theme for Acertara to turn into a book about the company, what would it be?
Educational! Even though the process of my role is step by step, the problems I come across are different each day. Each transducer is different and requires a level of critical thinking. Every day I come to work, I am learning something new.
What do you like most about Acertara?
The culture at Acertara is diverse and inclusive. I can interact with people in various roles to get the answers I need to be successful in my job, and the door is always open in the manager’s office. Everyone gets along well with each other, and it is enjoyable to come to work.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I have played the violin for 22 years, and I am part of the Jefferson Community Orchestra, where I play during the summer.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
I would not be able to live without music. Everywhere I go, I have a song playing, or I am heading to a concert.
