Wilder Iglesias

As the Lead Acoustic Development Engineer and Staff Scientist, Dr Iglesias is responsible for Acertara’s ultrasound device development, manufacturing, and our extensive metrology services. Dr Iglesias has significant experience in the fields of liquid crystal technology, material science, ultrasound, optics and displays. In the field of metrology Dr Iglesias has broad knowledge on various optical characterization techniques and testing and holds several important patents in these disciplines. At Acertara he has extended his expertise into ultrasound phantom development, acoustic test device manufacturing, and ultrasound acoustic power intensity (API) testing (60601-2-37) in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and FDA ASCA accredited acoustic laboratory. Dr Iglesias earned his Ph.D. in chemical physics from Kent State University in Ohio in 2012 and his undergraduate degree in physics from the Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela.
