Employee Spotlight: John Meyer
Tell us a little about yourself and what is your role at Acertara?a.
My Name is John Meyer and my title is Electro-Mechanical Engineer III. I support the Probe repair lab and newly formed System repair lab. I have been in the electronics industry for 37 years. I have been married for 21 years to Jurgita who also works at Acertara. I am a Colorado Native and love the beauty here in Colorado and availability of so many fun outdoor activities. I Love being up in the Mountains an enjoy fishing, hiking, taking pictures of wildlife and just about anything and everything fun to do in the Rocky Mountains.
If you could pick one theme for Acertara to turn into a book about the company, what would it be?
“Probe Wars” It would read something like Star Wars but would be based on Ultrasound (the force) and the Jedi (Acertara employees) would use Probes (like light sabers) to keep the universe safe from misdiagnosis (the dark side).
If you could switch roles with anyone else at Acertara, whose role would you want? Why?
I feel like I have a truly great role at Acertara so I wouldn’t want to switch with anyone, but I would want to explore a more supervisory role as I have had great experiences performing that role multiple times in the past.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
Many of my hobbies have been on hold for a while but I do love the outdoors, fishing, hiking, photography, archery, playing the guitar and learning to code.
What is your favorite movie and/or book?
My favorite movie is Rambo, and my favorite book is Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Where would you like to travel to?
Hawaii, Italy, Germany
